Italian Style Mini Meat Patties (for spaghetti sauce)


I love, love, love all things Italian. As I’ve said before, I make spaghetti using shirataki noodles, so I can still indulge in the yummy sinful-flavors of spaghetti without all the diabetic harming carbs. I also love meatballs, and I’ve come up with a meatball that is baked and has no bread whatsoever, so they are virtually carb-free. I call them patties because I roll the ball, then squish it down so that it cooks faster/more evenly in the oven than a ball does. These are super easy to make, too!

1lb lean ground beef
1 lb extra lean ground turkey breast
1/4 cup dried basil
1/8 cup dried oregano
1/2 bunch green onions finely minced
1 heaping Tblsp minced garlic
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
2 whole eggs
pepper to taste
salt optional

Mix it all together with your hands and form into large balls. Place on foil covered baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Smash a little flat.
Bake at 350 for 20-30 min until lightly browned.

Add to your favorite spaghetti sauce, or just dip them. Any way you want them, they’re yummy!
